Dilemma

I've come to a point where I looked back and I asked myself, why the hell am I not studying in overseas? It has always been my dream to study abroad... However, there's something came across my mind. What are the advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad? Malaysia is not good enough to guarantee an 'A' quality students? I dont think so.

I've thought of 3 points that I found useful on figuring out whether it is a good choice to further your studies abroad or not. Belajar di luar negara semestinya fun and all but think again, kerana belajar di luar mahupun di dalam negara, kedua dua nya ada advantages dan disadvatages. Why am I saying all these? Because both have the pros and cons. If we talk about the syllabus, kene consider negara yang offer or have that syllabus, and bidang apa yang diambil. According to me, and my knowledge yang seciput (yang ada hati nak share dengan korang) ni, setiap negara punya syllabus mengikut kesesuaian dengan warga negara itu sendiri. For example, kalau kita nak further studies, nak buat degree, kena ada foundation.

Point 2. Sorry if my points are a bit absurd.. However, I'm stick to studying in local universities/colleges Study abroad brings lotsa trouble. In my point, I would like to tekankan this matter  yang jarang outstation. For example ; culture shock. Tak dapt dinafikan, no matter how good you are, or whatever promises you made when you're in Malaysia, but once you step your feet on the outside world.... seperti burung yang bebas berterbangan. This matter could actually affect concentration and students' mentality when they're studying. To make it worse, they might neglect their studies and flunk out from the university. Ya Allah, that would be extremely terrible. Another thing that should be considered, masalah penerimaan kaum dan budaya yang berbeza. For example, masih ada negara yang sukar untuk menerima masyarakat yang memeluk agama Islam and this really bother me. Orang Islam masih kurang disenangi di sesetengah negara barat dan dianggap terrorist. How narrow minded they all are... Banyak penindasan berlaku. Contoh; dekat France dul pernah ada undang undang yang melarang perempuan berhijab. Another case would be a Malaysian student being killed in Indonesia. We should take precaution and consider all these matters before making a decision to study abroad, cause why would we risk our pride as a Muslim and risk our safety too?

Point 3 : Kebebasan yang tiada limits dan boundaries. Some teens memang takboleh nak handle hidup without pengawasan. Mmg the main reason nak keluar Malaysia is "nak independent" or "dah besar boleh jaga diri sendiri" macam  dalam drama drama tv tu. Kalau menjadi, alhamdulillah. Kalau tak? Omg scary vision coming thru.... Risiko banyak sangat kalau pelajar Malaysia leka with their different, new surroundings. Kalau academic je yang affected takpe, boleh diselamatkan lagi. But think, kalau problem semakin jadi teruk yang boleh memalukan nama country sendiri? For evidence : perempuan Melayu apa tah nama dia yang jadi pelacur professional tu. Ya Allah, things like this that should be avoided.

Memang tak dapat dinafikan belajar di luar negaa memang lebih banyak privileges but think again, dont simply risk our future life by getting a short term of freedom/happiness.

Kalau Malaysia boleh beli submarine for RM1 billion, Malaysia mampu okay nak upgrade our universities jadi macam overseas punya. Contoh yang kita dah nampak, Taylors' campus. OMG LAWA GILA EUGAKEGKAYHGVBKAGKAGV

Love, R!
